Release time:2026.08.28 Number of views:95

The agreement proposes that both parties, guided by the principles of "complementary strengths, shared resources, and win-win development," establish a comprehensive strategic partnership to engage in all-round technological and commercial collaboration. They will jointly pursue business cooperation in green power development, integrated energy-storage and computing, computing capacity supply assurance, and green power integration, striving to advance collaborative development in regions including Hebei, Yunnan, Tianjin, and Henan. Leveraging Sany Group’s resource advantages, they aim to promote market adoption of vanadium redox flow battery energy storage products.

Leveraging Complementary Strengths to Build Cross-Industry Synergy

Sany Heavy Energy: A leading domestic wind power enterprise under Sany Group and a global top-tier manufacturer of wind turbine equipment, ranking among the world's top five in wind turbine manufacturing and listed as a Tier 1 supplier by S&P Global. The company independently researches and manufactures core components such as blades and generators, mastering full-scale R&D and production capabilities for onshore and offshore multi-megawatt wind turbines. Its products are designed for complex conditions including mountainous terrain, high altitudes, and desert environments, with rapid expansion into both domestic and international markets. It is committed to becoming a global leader in clean energy equipment and services.

Xinxin Vanadium & Titanium: With two decades of deep expertise in vanadium redox flow battery technology, it is one of China’s earliest developers of vanadium batteries. Focused on the R&D, production, and operation of vanadium battery energy storage systems and their key materials, the company holds significant advantages in technology, talent, and mineral resources. It has undertaken national “863” programs and national science and technology support projects and is a member of the National Flow Battery Standards Committee. Its products are exported worldwide, securing orders from countries including Spain, Bulgaria, and Japan. In 2023, it won third prize in the UNIDO Global Call Clean Energy Innovation Track.

One is a dominant force in the wind power industry with full industrial chain capabilities, mature project development experience, and nationwide industrial deployment; the other is a long-standing powerhouse in China’s vanadium redox flow energy storage sector, deeply rooted in vanadium-based energy storage with multiple core advantages including proprietary material technology, vanadium ore resources, and specialized talent. By fully integrating wind power and vanadium storage resources, and connecting local industrial assets with nationwide project opportunities, the two parties achieve an industrial synergy greater than the sum of its parts—1+1>2.

Integrated Wind-Storage-Computing Collaboration to Address Energy Challenges in the Computing Era

Amid the AI revolution, artificial intelligence data centers (AIDC) are entering a period of rapid construction. These data centers operate continuously 24/7, consuming massive amounts of electricity and demanding extremely stable power supply and high proportions of renewable energy.

Wind power can provide a continuous source of zero-carbon green electricity, but its intermittent nature due to weather conditions makes it difficult to directly meet the uninterrupted power demands of data centers—a persistent challenge limiting the direct supply of green power to AIDCs. By leveraging Sany Heavy Energy’s wind power development capabilities to deliver large-scale green electricity to computing hubs, and combining this with the unique advantages of vanadium redox flow batteries—high safety, long lifespan, and extended discharge duration—the solution acts as a power buffer for computing applications. This system smooths out wind power fluctuations, fills supply gaps during low-wind periods, enables cross-periodal storage and dispatch of green energy, and establishes a secure, reliable foundation of green power for AIDCs.

From an industrial perspective, the value of this collaboration extends far beyond individual projects:

First, for the computing industry, it effectively addresses the challenges of high green power penetration and power stability in AIDCs, reducing reliance on traditional backup power sources and accelerating the decarbonization of digital infrastructure.

Second, for the new energy sector, it resolves critical issues such as difficulty in curbing renewable energy consumption and declining return on investment. The “power-storage-computing” model of AIDCs opens up entirely new incremental markets for wind power and long-duration energy storage, transforming China’s vanadium resource advantage into scalable capabilities for nationwide green computing projects, creating a replicable blueprint for the commercialization of integrated power-storage-computing solutions.

Riding the Wind, Driven by Vanadium—Embarking on a New Journey of Integrated Power-Storage-Computing

The second half of the new energy era is no longer about competing with single power generation or standalone energy storage technologies, but rather a race for integrated, comprehensive solutions.

The convergence between wind power and all-vanadium redox flow batteries reflects an upgraded industrial logic: moving beyond merely building wind farms and manufacturing energy storage systems, the focus now lies on exploring an integrated energy model combining "green power generation, long-duration regulation, and computing infrastructure." The two parties will continue to identify project opportunities, refine business models, and drive mutual empowerment between the energy and digital industries.

From the foothills of Yan Mountain to multiple regions across China, they are expanding scale through wind power, ensuring supply stability with vanadium-based storage, and unlocking value through computing capabilities. This collaboration not only represents a win-win partnership at the corporate level, but also aims to contribute practical industry insights toward building China's new power system and advancing green, high-quality productive forces.
