According to the plan announced by the company, the financing intends to issue new shares at a price of 10 pence per share, and the total financing size is capped at 25 million pounds. The financing arrangement includes a cornerstone investment from the UK National Wealth Fund, a placement for institutional investors and a separate share sale for individual investors. As an existing significant shareholder, the National Wealth Fund has committed to invest at least £10m and could raise this to £12.5m. In addition, under the proposed arrangement, the fund may also make matching investments equal to the amount subscribed by individual investors. The final amount raised is still subject to investor participation and the completion of the relevant offering process, and the company has not yet confirmed that it will be able to reach the £25 million funding ceiling.

In terms of use of capital, Infiniti plans to spend about £10 million to accelerate product development and reduce manufacturing costs, about £8 million to replenish working capital and about £2 million to expand manufacturing capacity in the United Kingdom and the United States. The funding arrangement shows that the company's focus at this stage is not only on upgrading the technical level of battery products, but also on improving production efficiency, controlling manufacturing costs, and ensuring the delivery of existing commercial projects.

Infiniti specializes in the development and manufacturing of all-vanadium flow batteries for long-term energy storage applications in grid infrastructure, renewable energy integration, and other scenarios that require continuous power supply and flexible regulation capabilities. Compared with lithium-ion batteries, all-vanadium flow batteries achieve energy storage and release through the change of vanadium ion valence in the electrolyte, and their power and energy storage capacity are relatively independent in the system design, which is suitable for long energy storage duration according to the project needs. With the expansion of the installed scale of renewable energy such as wind power and photovoltaic, the demand for long-term energy storage technology in power system has received continuous attention.

The company's management said that the financing will enhance its ability to execute its revenue plan for 2026 to 2027, and believes that the existing commercial activities provide some support for the related plans. Infiniti currently has more than 12.5 gigawatt hours (GWh) of disclosed commercial project reserves. It is important to note that this figure represents the size of the potential business opportunity and does not equate to orders that have been contracted, nor does it imply that the relevant revenue has been identified. In the future, whether these potential projects can be transformed into formal contracts, actual delivery and operating income will directly affect the implementation of the company's business plan.

In addition to financing and capacity building, Infiniti is also moving forward with an investment-grade insurance arrangement for battery systems aimed at improving the financial acceptability of its products in the eyes of potential project customers and financing partners. For large-scale energy storage projects, project financing, long-term operation guarantee and risk management mechanism are all important factors affecting the selection of technical solutions. If the relevant insurance arrangements can be successfully implemented, it may help reduce customer concerns about project risks and create conditions for the application of battery systems in more commercial scenarios. However, the arrangement is still in the promotion stage, and its final implementation effect remains to be seen.

In terms of specific projects, the company is moving forward with related businesses, including the FlexBase Technology Centre Laufenburg in Switzerland, while taking steps to reduce corporate management and operational expenses. These efforts are in line with this round of financing: on the one hand, we support product research and development, manufacturing and project delivery through capital investment, on the other hand, we improve operational efficiency through controlling overheads, and strive to coordinate business expansion with cost management.

From the perspective of vanadium industry chain, Infiniti's financing plan reflects that vanadium resources downstream application enterprises are extending their competition focus from pure technology development to manufacturing costs, scale delivery, project financing and commercial order conversion. The market development of all-vanadium flow batteries is not only determined by technical performance, but also closely related to the initial investment of the system, long-term operation performance, manufacturing capacity, and project financing conditions. For vanadium industry, whether the downstream energy storage enterprises can expand the application scale of products will affect the potential demand for vanadium electrolyte and related materials, but the specific demand still needs to be judged based on the actual project construction and product delivery.

Infiniti plans to raise at least £20 million to focus on accelerating the development of all-vanadium flow batteries, reducing manufacturing costs, expanding production capacity and enhancing delivery guarantees for existing commercial projects. The UK National Wealth Fund's commitment of at least £10 million has provided significant support to the funding plan, but the final scale of funding, contract conversion rate of potential projects, the extent of manufacturing cost reduction and the completion of the business plan for 2026 to 2027 remain key factors to watch.
