Public information shows that this project is jointly developed by Changan Automobile's Deep Blue Automobile and Starr Semiconductor. According to reports, in May 2023, the project signed a contract to settle in the Western (Chongqing) Science City, investing in the construction of a vehicle grade module production base, realizing the research and development, production, and sales of high-power vehicle grade IGBT modules and vehicle grade silicon carbide MOSFET modules for the main controller. Previously, Deep Blue Automobile planned to launch a total of six products by 2025, striving to achieve production and sales exceeding one million vehicles within five years; Sta Semiconductor is the main supplier of high-power vehicle grade power modules for new energy vehicles in China, and a leading enterprise in the domestic IGBT industry. In 2024, it will support more than 4 million new energy vehicles. The global market share of IGBT modules for the year ranks fourth internationally and first domestically, providing strong technical and strategic support for the independent and high-quality development of the domestic new energy vehicle industry.
