The visiting guests gained a comprehensive understanding of the company's development journey, achievements in industry-university-research collaboration, and Guorun Energy Storage's breakthroughs in domestication of core materials: its independently developed ion exchange membrane has achieved large-scale production, with a stack capacity reaching 500 MW, enabling end-to-end delivery capabilities from key material fabrication to system integration. This self-reliant industrial foundation provides solid support for undertaking the Southern Power Grid Lijiang project. 

Focusing on Lijiang's benchmark projects, jointly discussing supply assurance plans 

The Lijiang Huaping Industrial Park Battery Energy Storage Project is a key benchmark project for long-duration energy storage prioritized by China Southern Power Grid, as well as one of the first new-type energy storage demonstration projects in Yunnan Province. As the lead party of the consortium for the all-vanadium redox flow battery system, Shanxi Guorun Energy Storage Technology Co., Ltd. is responsible for core tasks including DC-side equipment integration and operational leasing services for electrolyte. The meeting conducted detailed coordination on equipment delivery schedules, providing strong support for the project's commissioning. 

Exploring frequency modulation performance metrics to highlight technological leadership advantages 

The frequency regulation performance of flow battery energy storage systems is crucial for the safe and stable operation of power grids. Thanks to its inherent safety, ultra-long cycle life (over 20,000 cycles), and deep charge/discharge capability, vanadium redox flow batteries have become a key long-duration energy storage technology for supporting the development of new power systems. In frequency regulation applications, flow batteries offer rapid response capabilities ranging from milliseconds to seconds. During the meeting, participants engaged in professional discussions on the frequency regulation performance and K-value indicators of flow battery energy storage, exchanging views on how to further improve core technical metrics such as system response speed and control accuracy. 

Analyzing industrial collaboration models to jointly explore cost reduction and efficiency improvement pathways 

Currently, the flow battery energy storage industry is at a critical stage of large-scale development. How to achieve cost reduction and efficiency improvement through industrial chain collaboration has become a shared challenge for the sector. At the meeting, participants conducted in-depth discussions on collaborative models and cost optimization within the flow battery energy storage supply chain. They unanimously agreed that each party should fully leverage its distinctive strengths in technology research and development, equipment manufacturing, system integration, and operations management to build a closely integrated industrial ecosystem, jointly driving continuous reductions in flow battery energy storage costs.
