Guorun Energy Storage's All-Vanadium Redox Flow Battery Demonstration Project Achieves Another Break

During the inspection, the delegation conducted on-site investigations into the development history of the enterprise, the achievements of industry-university-research cooperation, and the breakthroughs in the domestic production of core materials. Currently, leveraging the high-quality scientific and technological innovation nurturing environment of the development zone, Shanxi Guorun Energy Storage has deeply focused on the field of all-vanadium liquid flow batteries, achieving independent control of its core technologies. The enterprise's independently developed ion membranes have achieved large-scale production, with an electrode stack capacity of 500MW. A complete chain delivery system from the preparation of key materials to system integration has been established, and a complete industrial framework and strong technical strength have laid a solid foundation for undertaking national benchmark energy storage projects. 

At the symposium, all parties focused on conducting concentrated discussions and negotiations regarding the battery energy storage project in the Lijiang Huaping Industrial Park of China Southern Power Grid, the improvement of battery frequency regulation performance, and the cost reduction and efficiency enhancement of the industrial chain. The participants focused on the precise对接 work of the key benchmark project of Southern Power Grid and the first batch of new energy storage demonstration projects in Yunnan Province - the battery energy storage project in Lijiang Huaping Industrial Park. They clearly designated Guoru Energy Storage as the lead party of the consortium, responsible for the integration of DC-side equipment, the operating lease of electrolyte, and other core tasks. They refined and improved the equipment supply plan and made every effort to ensure the project was put into operation on schedule. The meeting combined the operation standards of the new power system and fully affirmed the inherent safety, ultra-long cycle life, deep charge and discharge capability, and millisecond-level rapid response of the vanadium redox flow battery. They exchanged optimization plans regarding key indicators such as frequency modulation K value, response speed, and regulation accuracy, and clarified the direction of technological upgrading. At the same time, in response to the development trend of the energy storage industry on a large scale, both parties unanimously stated that they would rely on their respective strengths in technology, manufacturing, integration, and operation to build an efficient and collaborative industrial chain ecosystem, focus on solving development bottlenecks, and continuously promote the cost reduction and efficiency enhancement of vanadium redox flow battery energy storage and its large-scale promotion.
